Hailing from London, UK, the triple threat music brand, known as Ayo Beatz, is a self-contained artist, producer and songwriter. Starting his musical journey at 16, when he moved to New York to live with family, he was heavily influenced by the sounds of the city - hip hop. But with no access to studios, he taught himself how to produce.
On arriving back in the UK, Ayo Beatz's passion for music continued and he enrolled at Collage Arts Music School, where he studied his craft for three years. Fellow producer/artist, Labrinth was a classmate of his.
Ayo Beatz's steady ascension in the UK music scene started with the soft release of ‘Far Away', which featured DJ Ironik and was accompanied by a remix featuring the likes of Wretch 32. The music video racked up a healthy quarter million views on YouTube. This led to his self-produced up-tempo tune ‘Boom Ayo’, the electro-break beat filled track was an interpolation of the 90's hit ‘Boom Boom Boom' by The Outhere Brothers. The song took off, with the video gaining over half a million YouTube views and the landing Ayo Beatz a top 10 in the Music Week’s dance chart. With a respectable buzz now around Ayo Beatz, this enabled him to really start making a name for himself.
Definitely charismatic and exceptionally gifted, Ayo Beatz is a much sought-after producer for domestic and international acts. In between releasing self-funded singles, mixtapes and eps, he has collaborated and produced with and for everyone in the UK urban music scene, from Wiley, Roll Deep, Professor Green, J2K, Wretch 32, to lately Stylo G. Plus official remixes for international acts like Jason Derulo, Rebecca Ferguson, Iyaz, Jessica Lowndes and a sleuth of other top shelf artists.
2016 was a great year for Ayo Beatz, a string of collaborations and production duties, kept his name all over the top UK urban blogs and his solo release ‘Kangol’ had him gigging all over the UK on his own headline tour sponsored by ‘Kangol'. He then had cinema's all over the country singing, when he was featured on the soundtrack for the hit British movie ‘The Intent’. This newfound hype was the perfect foundation for the tune ‘Abu Dabbin’.
Teaming up with UAE based group SOS Music, ‘Abu Dabbin’, produced by Ayo Beatz took social media by storm, with the visuals reaching a phenomenal 1.2 million youtube views in just a couple of months and getting online support from artists such as Jessie J, Tinie Tempah and more. ‘Abu Dabbin’ really cut through and as a result, saw Ayo Beatz performing in the famous UK venues such as the 02 Arena and the Round House. 'Abu Dabbin' also received mass attention in the Middle East, with heavy duty DJ support, especially in clubs/venues in and around Dubai, Abu Dhabi and UAE. This lead to Ayo Beatz being invited to perform alongside Krept & Konan and Sean Paul at the F1 Weekend, 'Beats On The Beach' Festival, Abu Dhabi Corniche, in front of 30,000 people.
With the newly released Abu Dabbin’ remix (also remixed by Ayo Beatz) featuring Chip and Red Café, its non stop for Ayo Beatz; adding p.a. club dates - everywhere from Jordan to Turkey; prepping for his follow up solo single and an ep project with Jamal Edward/SBTV, amongst other things.
Having started off the year in a good way, 2017 will be interesting and exciting times for Ayo Beatz. His continued ascension is inevitable..
